In Limbo
We are all in Covid limbo
As the Omicron variant
Sweeps through the country
As our inept economically
Illiterate leader stumbles
Blindly along at odds with
His scientific advisors.
Christmas has now been
Overshadowed by mixed
Messages. However, the
Original Christmas message
Was one of hope in a dark
World, and we must try and
And give this hope to our
Family and friends because at
The moment the fog of Covid
Is spreading, and will weigh heavily
Over Christmas and throughout
The cold winter. My hope is that
All who read my poems stay safe
And enjoy a peaceful Christmas.
A conscious and educated poet who would like pride of wellbeing return to his beautiful country as it was in the past decade, without food banks, without racism, without backward and ignorant leaders, amazing piece of work it deserves 5*

So very true. Despite of the darkness brought about by COVID-19, there is still hope that we will overcome this hardship. A wonderful poem so well expressed.
