When the leaves fell
Our love died
It couldn’t survive the sadness of autumn
But, the memory left many stories to tell

When the winter knocked on my door
I was alone
And the cruelty of its coldness crushed my soul

You were like a spell
I longed your warmth
I missed your smell

I reminisced every line in your face
And I ached
My heart and mind were at race

Striving to remember…

If they have seen you crying
If they have seen you trying
When the leaves fell
