Impediment Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Impediment

With my tongue, I'll trace the outline of your body,
In Verbatim. The easing of flaws seen as imperfect. Perfected in my eyes.
The truth revealed of how much I enjoy you.
With my tongue there is no eraser, no lead.
Leaving you just as you are.
As I wouldn't change a thing,
Sympathize with my tongue as it longs to drown you.
To taste your heart in the purest form.
Each throb echoing through your skin.
Should the only sound be heard, a sigh of relief in the ripples of drowning,
The sound of your name leaving my lips.
No other noise is more enticing
