Impatience Poem by Fiona Davidson

Impatience

In your eyes I see impatience
In my heart I find that only rage
Settles deeply in the shadows
Of forgotton times and places

In your words I see impatience
At my inability to move forward
Paralized and crippled emotions
Hold my feet fast in the past days

In my thoughts I ask for patience
Seeking out the tendrils of a love
That waits behind the mist of time
Elusive and so delicately real
