Immortal Love. Poem by Derrick Andrews

Immortal Love.

Rating: 5.0

I once knew a boy,
Claimed he was sentimental,
Said his mind and body functioned on a higher level,
Than those who're just concerned with sexual desire,
Feeding poor innocent women, to their evil fire,
Taking advantage of their purity, with lies and greed,
He claimed compassion and love was what the women need,
He believed duly, and truly, that he was a higher breed,
Than the guys that only focused on their scoring speed,
Yet he himself suffered severely from the haunting flame,
The inner desire burning, just to play the game,
In his mind, he never treated a single girl the same,
And when he left them, he never was the one to blame,
Though he never once considered all of the hurt he had caused,
How after they had sex, relationships would pause,
He refused to accept that he could be the flawed,
The sick man abusing women while his friends applaud,
Until one day he broke the heart of a lovely girl,
Who treated this sick man, like he was her world,
After they had sex many times, he broke it off for good,
Despite everyone else's warnings that he never should,
He told her that he'll always love her but it wasn't working,
That he couldn't take anymore, of her games and her flirting,
Looking dead into her eyes, knowing that he had lied,
He said the moment we had sex I knew our love had died,
He had planned prematurely, to hit it and quit it,
And deny to everyone around, that he had did it,
So around the day of her birth, he started getting bold,
Snapping at her ferociously, and acting cold,
Told her to get her act straight, because it wasn't cute,
And every time she voiced opinions it would lead to dispute,
She never really cared for him, he would always cry,
And it would hurt her so severely, just to hear this lie,
How from the start he always told her that she was the one,
Valentine's Day, was when he had his last fun,
Doing all the wicked things that he had planned from the start,
For it was obvious to others that he had no heart,
So when her birthday came around, he dumped her like she was trash,
Said terrible things about her, said her love was too rash,
Said no matter how hard she tried, she'd always be his past,
Then moved on to her friend, as if it was a task,
One push after another made her slowly crack,
Her definition of love, had been truly hacked,
Into pieces of what can only be recognized as despair,
She reached out for his hands, but he wasn't there,
He was too busy now, playing in her best friend's hair,
She was yet another victim, of his lustful snare,
So, about a month later, the girl was truly broken,
She accepted sheer misery, as her only token,
So she broke into his home, while he wasn't there,
Wrote him a farewell letter, that expressed her care,
'I loved you even at the times when you weren't there,
When I clearly saw you using me I still was here,
You were my one true angel, as well as my dark curse,
And in my mind, you and I were always first,
But when you left me on that day, and got with my friend,
Symbolically I decided that my life should end,
But don't worry, I'll be watching from the afterlife,
Adding a whole new hell, onto your list of strife,
I'll make sure, that you regret all of the hurt you dealt,
All of the sadness and the blunt remorse that I had felt,
You hurt me more than anyone ever would,
And took complete advantage of me, just because you could,
So replace your grief and woe, for terror and fear,
Because if it were up to me, you'd be hanging here.'
After she wrote the farewell she tied a rope to the fan,
Tied the noose around her neck and gave her last demand,
Looking straight into the ground, instead of into the skies,
She muttered, 'Devil, I have one request: That he never dies',
When he finally reached his home about eleven thirty,
Pleased and exhausted from doing things so foul and dirty,
He was terrified and shocked to see her hanging there,
But on her face was not a look of sadness or despair,
She was smiling demonically, her eyes bloodshot red,
Peering into his soul, as if she wasn't dead,
In her left hand was the letter she had wrote for him,
It feel from her grasp to the floor, and his face turned grim,
He snatched the letter and ran, terrified by her sight,
Read the whole thing, and didn't sleep a wink all night,
In the morning he decided to end his life right here,
No use in living a life, of pure terror and fear,
So he jumped off of the roof of his apartment complex,
Blacked out, and woke up like it was just a reflex,
Felt a hand grasp his side and, turned to the left,
And there laid his ex, face grim and white with death,
He tried countless times to end his truly wretched life,
But each time she was right next to him, holding him tight,
So this is to everyone looking to simply get it,
Don't use women for their sex, or you will regret it,
Because a woman's heart is simply just a fragile jewel,
Not an object that should be used as your perverted tool,
So live your life with all your loved ones, happy and free,
And don't ever end up immortal, and depressed like me...
