I Know Not Where I'M Going, But I Know Relief Awaits Me Poem by Derrick Andrews

I Know Not Where I'M Going, But I Know Relief Awaits Me

Rating: 4.5

What is this strange feeling?
This meek, suddle emptiness,
It seems not to be healing,
To me, but none the less,
This auspicious aura glows,
Faintly against the lucid skies,
Down the drain, emotion flows,
Seeping heavily from hollow eyes,
I wish not to embrace it,
This feeling proves deadly,
It's so strong, I can't face it,
So I fight my fate readily,
With a hand over my heart,
Covering the large hole,
My torso torn apart,
Sweet release, my only goal,
I seek the long tranquil paths,
Amid the skies that glow teal,
Wherein soft bubbly baths,
Provide a cure, that can heal,
And mend my broken heart,
With its fibers of eternal-
Life, sown together what's apart,
And cease the burn of this infernal,
This wretched flame of life,
That destroys the human soul,
Facing turmoil and constant strife,
Its fury swallows me whole,
But when I'm inside the stomach of the beast,
I feel like I'm alive,
Though my heartbeat, long ago had ceased,
My mental state still thrives,
As I sit now, among the ashes,
Of what my life used to be,
I drift slowly to the pastures,
Where at last, I can be free...

No one knows where we're going. Jumping over the hurdles that life and love throws at us, only serves to make us stronger! Stay Strong and Focused! !
