Immigrant Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Immigrant

Immigrant

She is a Canadianized immigrant
neither this, nor is that.

Everyone does a job; she paid got diploma.
like many, with loan of the OSAP.

Teachers teach and have taught
"Let's plan for exam, " food for thought.

This is why the words writes "graduate, specialized."
blindfold she is just defecate in a cage, a "doctor".

This is how she feels, wants.

Has folders, manila, holds many profiles
everyone a patient's; stacked are the papers.

She charges per hour; three timed by fifty.
She spends three-four minutes and hardly more.
Her time is valuable; not mine, yours.

With no faith and no God, no one to stop lies
no culture or people to bring some conscious
to her heart.

Dream boss and her will, are steps and ladders
money buys them bricks
all she knows is dollar; nothing else.

She wants me to open.
Why she has no question?
"Can find me on Google."
Canadianized; capitalist, full of lies
is she, and I and other ones are papers
to fill up her folders; , manila.

Thanks to that diploma; specialized
she can write about me and my needs
knows nothing of my needs; all bullshit
like dentists for Hossein; and his kid:
"See balance; insurance; take it all."
