Imaginary Love Poem by Jen Starr

Imaginary Love

Rating: 4.0

When I first saw you
It was like a burst of sunlight
Filling a cold, damp room
That had been long forgotten.

When I first met you
My heart skipped a beat
I lost any sense that I had
I never fully recovered.

When I first spoke to you
You took my breath away
You made me forget that anything else
in the world mattered.

When I first exchanged smiles with you
You caught me off guard
And in that moment
I fell for you.

When I first thought about you
You took me away to a place
Where I could forget about my worries
Where it was just you and me.

When I first saw you
With her
I lost my imaginary love.

I never fully recovered
