Down This Road Poem by Jen Starr

Down This Road

Rating: 3.3

Driving down this road
This long, winding road
I know I've been here before
but nothing looks familiar
There are other paths that branch
from this one
But I stay where I am at
Safe and secure

Driving down this road
The empty land whizzes by
There are no houses
There are no trees
Just flat, empty land
Though I am driving blindly
I seem to know where I am going

I am driving down this road
It may not be the longest
or the most beautiful
But it is my road
And I know that once I have traveled
long and far
I will finally reach the end
But for now I will continue
with my journey
And whatever journey I endure
I know it will not disappoint
