Images Of Substance Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Images Of Substance

Only fools in desperate situations.
Will chase bloated and faked posters,
Fading away.
To save what has been created.
With a doing just to prove,
Those who chew on and spit out facts...
Are seldom the ones to be seen,
Running back and forth.
Making irrational impulsive decisions.
Done publicly imitating,
Images of substance.
Everyone begins to see,
How embarrassingly...
They have allowed themselves,
To be hoodwinked.
Tricked, duped and deceived.
By the ones only qualified,
To deliver what has been received.
Impressions of leadership.
Without competence involved!
