Ignorance To Teach It Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Ignorance To Teach It

Everyone born has spent,
Learning 'something'...
To face getting over,
Their ignorance of it.
That develops from a desire,
Of a wanting to understand.
And eventually comprehend.
What before to them had not be known.

However...
There are some born from birth,
To accept what they have been taught.
By those who seek to keep,
Their ignorance kept.
With it known it has been taught.
And sought with others,
A teaching to do that remains limited.
To defend it as truth.
From their perspective to pursue.

Yet,
As time passes...
Some become offended,
When confronted by those born...
Who had been encouraged to discover,
Their own lives to live.
Done.
Without restrictions or boundaries.
To ultimately find,
With minds broadened.
An ignorance to live it,
Loses their respect to it to give.
