If romance is a trip
down a bumpy road at night
I want to be able
to trust the driver.
I want to sleep soundly
sprawled across the back seat.

If romance is a roadtrip
on a path with many twists and turns
I wish to be in good company
and to laugh much along the way.

If this romance
between you and I
is a journey
I pray that the destination
is lasting love and security.
I pray that this journey
never ends.
