If Only She Knew Poem by Elena Plotkin

If Only She Knew

Rating: 5.0

He often spoke of her as just another girl,
but in his heart she was his silver pearl.
He loved her very dearly although love he showed her not.
For he was convinced happiness with her was not his lot.
And as he watched her silently with delight,
He hopedhe could finally overcome his fright,
And get a chance to tell her how much she means to him,
before his dreams with her faded away and turned dim.
For if only she knew how much he really cared,
He wouldn't be taunted by the love they never shared.
