If Left To Go Unknown Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

If Left To Go Unknown

Reality.
To fear.
And made to feel,
Threatened by it.
To be near.
Or hear,
About it's truth.
Never to experience,
Proof of it to discover.

Those isolated,
Fed on fantasies to believe...
Are seldom the ones saved,
From a life...
Sickened with mentalities.
Defending delusions nonexistent.

Yet told to stay brave,
Throughout the battle.
Fighting their right to be entitled.
Until their beliefs are accepted.
And they are received as heroes.
Honored to have sacrificed,
The volunteering of their lives.
