If I were a poet
I would write of your exuberant beauty
how enchanted I was when I first laid my eyes upon you
the feelings I felt just being in your presence
and the love that I felt for you in an instance
the sparkling of your eyes
the lushness of your lips
the sweet taste of our first kiss
and the moments we were apart when it was your presence that I missed
the tenderness of your touch
and the sweetness of your love
and the loving times we spent in each other's arms
but I am just a man
who wish he had the words
to explain the way I felt
when I spent my time with you
to let you understand
just what you meant to me
and wish that things could go back
to the way it used to be
