If, I Could Ever Explain Poem by Khoj Agarwal

Bad times come by,
To make you realize the moments which went by were good.
But how to explain that,
I have lost my life’s food.
I don’t ask,
For that hug again.
When you held me,
The peace I gain.
Neither I ask,
For that care.
Which was invisible,
But without it, life looks unfair.
I don’t ask,
For those pics with me.
For I never knew, one day,
Not you nor me but only they will be.
I don’t even ask for that evening tea,
Where you made me feel, that I was a part of the family.
Don’t ever even take my side,
For I know, you never showed,
But inside you cried.
Don’t even call for you know I will wait for it,
Send me so far that we can never meet.
Don’t even pray and ask for my smile,
You can ask for my happiness to be far away mile.
I know you will never meet, nor will you ever speak.
Nor will I ask,
No matter my breath become weak.
I just wanted to call u ‘maa’ again,
I wish, if I could ever explain.
