If Poem by Ashley Renee Thompson

If

If I were to take mine life would thee care?
Yes, thee, the one who said, 'I'll always be there.'
Would thou shed as many tears as I;
The one who kept thoughts of thou on mountains high?
Even in death I would love thee, yes, thee;
The one everyone said was right for me.
Did thou feel the same?

If I were to take mine life would the care?
Yes, thee, the one who sealed our love with a heart felt swear.
Would thou soon, find another lover and give here the love that is mine;
Or would thy wait patiently to be with me for all time?
Does someone have thine heart; the heart that belongs to me;
Doest though think she loves thee, does she see what I see?
Doest though ache the same?

If I were to take mine life would the care?
Yes, thee, the one whose burdens I also did bear.
Thou has hurt mine heart continuously; and yet I stay by thy side.
Yes, me, the one whose love was never fearful to hide.
Just say thou loveth me too, so in each other we can abide.
Yes, thou doest feel the same.
