I Would Rather The Company Of Darkness Poem by Jerry Waterfields

I Would Rather The Company Of Darkness

I would rather the company of darkness
Than be with you because, it doesn't talk.
At least it is honest, it bares its pangs.
You pretend hard to be what you are not
And always search for me in the cyberhall.
Your mind is consummed always with my thoughts;
Every night you must be dreaming, speaking words,
Wishing that the old days were brought back to us.
You have shown me the picture of reality;
You summarize the afflictions, the pains,
The retrogressions that chain and suspend
Our light.I would never go back, come rain.
I am on an transcendal journey
Away from your ways and hypocrisies.
