Come Sweet Beauty, Come Poem by Jerry Waterfields

Come Sweet Beauty, Come

Come sweet beauty, come; sun's pride, may your beauty
Never tire me, like fresh wine to wineskin.
Pour to overfill your sweet drills over me.
Let the thrill of your aloes rinse me like seas.
Tickle me with hands like sweet boughs of trees,
Allow me explore the treasures of your reaches.
Stay near for your presence banishes
Foul smells and leaves gentle spring leaves.
I long to walk with you in nature's roses
And watch your flowery lips mutter soft sweets
Of the wind and pearls undiscovered;
Your hairs expose their cherry gardens.
May your eyes never cease their suns and stars.
Save the birds, their bright festivals and joys.
