I Wish Your Mother Knew Poem by Rachel Aurelien

I Wish Your Mother Knew

I wish your mother knew
I couldn't show her the knife, you could have killed her too
I wish I had the guts to tell her you choked my breath, removing any dignity I had left
I wish she saw the way you pulled me through the door
I wish your mother saw how hard my head hit the floor
