Wow! I wish so many things
But, if wishes were horses
Anyone could ride!
One wish of mine,
Like Maslow's law of motivation
May relegate to the background
Giving rise to another wish
So, my wishes change from time to time.
When I was small, I wished
that my rooms were filled with chocolates
And I would relish them as much as I like.
Wish for beautiful dresses and new dolls
Was too strong at one time
Then I wished for story books
To read and read without stop,
But my love for reading gave way to a new wish
And I wished to become a writer
Like Manoj Das or Rabindranath.
But all wishes can not be fulfilled
So, let us be satisfied with what we have
Though, never give up our striving..
All our wishes cannot be materialised for wish is a natural phenomena that will go on to the tomb. When one we get we wish for another.
Wish is a coveted apple. It hangs on every low but distant thread. Nice read
Great poem, we have many high expectations from life and self, not all wish come true yet we need to keep going without getting bogged down. Full *****
Like Manoj Das or Rabindranath....You are Bharati Nayak and you have succeeded in establishing the identity of your own! The whole world appreciates your poetry! What more is needed dear poetess? You should feel proud that you are unique. Keep writing!
''But all wishes can not be fulfilled So, let us be satisfied with what we have Though, never give up our striving.. very rightly said Bharati...kudos
