I Will Go Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

I Will Go

Someday it will be you
And hey, at least you didn't do
What often plagues the common few
It'll weigh on my mind
Taken every hour of the time
Each detail i will find
And note each reason to leave you behind
Wake up, wake yourself up, face the reality
You will fall within this battle, you'll lose
Your dignity embracing fantasies

I will go
I'd rather be alone
If i have to question this
It isn't really worth the risk
I will go
I'd rather be alone
If i have to question this
It isn't really worth the risk

So dissatisfied, I'm so confused on what i feel inside
What if i open my heart and suffer a blow
I won't be able to stand up from
I listen to the words you say
Not one moment as of yet
Convinces me none the less

There will be days when i will reflect
Chilly conditions create the frost
I'll almost freeze if it weren't for the warmth
Of fire to my heart
That shall kick start

Do you, Do you have regrets?
Do you remember to forget?
Do you love me like the warm body you leave home on those cold nights?
There's that conversation
You said you believe when two people are alike
It's not uncommon for emotions to have took flight

You won't go
You can't bear to feel alone
If you can't love me only
You run the risk to lose me
You won't go
You can't bear to feel alone
If you can't love me only
You run the risk to lose me
