I Wandered..... Poem by Bullion Grey

I Wandered.....

Rating: 5.0

I found my place within a room with sisters and mother. It was my place I couldn't imagine another place I should be.

Then I found the school. It seemed ok but wasn't where I should be; I thought I should be home with mom. Then I found friends. They were a surprise to me and I wondered why do they have interest in me?

I still felt my place was at home. Then I found the play yard. It was a troubled place with a few painful events. Once a bunch of kids tied my hands around a tree, causing my shoulders to be sprained severely. When I ask for help I was told to take my seat.

I waited for when I got home so mom would be understanding and maybe take the pain away. But it was worse....my step parent (posing as a male representation as a father) , jerked on my arms until I agreed that they weren't hurt. It was a painful realization that I really had no place to be.

Then years later I left school, and where I lived, and went about into the world of harzzards and beauty. I had trouble finding any place I could think of as the place I should be.

Then I wandered around trying to find my place.

After a long, long time and many wrong turns, I read a book. In it, it told that we are the place we need, should be. That we carry this place around and when ever we thought we were not in the right place, we could remember our own self was our right place.

So now I found where I am and where I need to be...
here within.
