I tried to make it work
and like you more and more
but working out a relationship
became too much like a chore

I tried to give you a chance
and see if you were worth it
and the things you, I did not like
you told me you would quit

I tried to call you every night
and learn more about you
as days when by, every night
I learned something new

You seemed so sweet
I liked you alot
but as time went on, I realized
you were not what I thought

The calls stopped
promises broke
the whole time this was
nothing but a joke
