I Think Therefore I Am Poem by Robbie Squires

I Think Therefore I Am

Rating: 4.5

I think therefore I am
The past forms a grain of sand
Future life beholds no light
Until we fall beneath all sight

Shadows fade across the moonlit sea
Disappearing souls survive secretly
A single room left unfilled
Ghosts stole the girls soft shrill
Legends survive in the forgotten past
Unknown soldiers crawl through the aftermath

Dust in the breeze gets swept away
Each sunset seeks a new day
Clammy hands held the newborn girl
Kicks and screams welcome a new world

I think therefore I am
The past forms a grain of sand
Future life beholds no light
Until we cross into the night
