You promised me forever
You promised me honesty
You promised me your love

I should have known better

You said I was the best
You said I was beautiful
You said I was your one and only

I should have known better

You told me you loved me
You told me I’d never be alone
You told me we’d always be together

I should have known better

I knew you broke all of your promises
I knew you never meant anything you said
I knew you have never once told me the truth
