I See The Future Poem by Paula Glynn

I See The Future

I write from the perfect visual perspective
Of a kind elderly Chinese man called Zan
I know all about yesterday, today and tomorrow
The human race writing billions of stories
Where the strangest party is the action-packed times
Singing these are the crimes

I foresaw the bullying of Jack the Ripper
I foresaw the tragic end of Fred West
I foresaw 9/11 unable to prevent a tragedy
I foresaw those old witch trials
I foresaw atomic bombs in the world wars
I foresaw the terrible incidences in ancient Egypt

I travel throughout time
The vast star-filled universe my playground
Where if you look hard enough
I can be located: I can be found
My wisdom guiding souls to that rainbow's pot of gold
Through the Wheel of Reincarnation

I know the entire world history
From every bomb to every famous painting
I know the entire world history
From every famine to every preventable war
I know the entire world history
From every dance hall to every party

I am the eye of the universe
I know the winning lottery ticket numbers
I know how to guide my human race
Without paying the price for others mistakes
To walk my planet earth around and around
Having everyone attend my celebration party

Earth a spinning blue and green ball
When seen from space realizing its beauty
The planet spinning for billions of years
Taking us all on its magnificent journey
Our souls never turning to dust with the setting of the sun
For time is constant and not to be outdone

I talk about ongoing world events
Every time period relevant
Every time period having a vast impact
On earth's immortal human race
Every time period dramatic and soul crushing
This elderly Chinese man wise and never blushing.
