I Miss You, Baby Poem by Kimberly Lindsey

I Miss You, Baby

I miss the way you make me laugh, most often at myself.
Your cute little jokes that only you and I get… I miss you, baby.

I miss the way you talk to me, when no one can hear,
Words that are meant only for my ears…. I miss you.

I miss the way you kiss me, not once, but four or five,
And then you look me in the eye, and give me more….I miss you, baby.

I miss the way you say I love you, unique to only you,
I know you mean it when you say it, it rings true…. I miss you.

I miss the way you do that thing you do, and while I love it,
It drives me mad, I try to run away, then sanity returns…. I miss you, baby.

I miss the way you make me say, the things that are SO hard for me,
You push and encourage, until I spill them just for you…. I miss you.

I miss being in your arms, where I feel so very safe,
And the way you wrap me up and hold me close…. I miss you, baby.

I love the way you are protective, without being ridiculous,
You don’t smother or suffocate, you just care…. I miss you.

I love the way you remind me of little things,
That you know I will forget…. I miss you, baby.

I miss your smell, your kiss, your voice, your laugh, your touch.
When I hear your song….I miss you, baby.

I miss all the things about you that make you uniquely you….
And all the things that make me love you more, everyday.

I miss you…..baby.
