I'm not-Ja nisam

I'm not the one who was dreamed of by the snowflake
I'm not the one who was waited for by the drop
I'm not the one who grew in nests
and I'm not embraced by winds
I'm a silent restless
awoken by wonder endless
so that I could love
I-my own eternally open question

Ja nisam ona koju je sanjala pahulja
i nisam ona koju je čekala kaplja
ja nisam oa što rasla je u gnijezdima
i nisam ona koju grli vjetar
ja sam tihi nemir
čuđenjem beskrajnim probuđena
da bih mogla da volim
ja-svoje uvijek otvoreno pitanje

poet Christina Georgina Rossetti

Where sunless rivers weep
Their waves into the deep,
She sleeps a charmed sleep:
Awake her not.
Led by a single star,
She came from very far
