I'M Not Half Bad Poem by Richard Noggin

I'M Not Half Bad

I think I’ve found my niche in life
I feel content, accepted, and successful
All the things I’ve never experienced as a child
All my life I’ve just wanted to be the best at something
I still have no idea what that something is
But for today I have perspective
I can see that there will always be someone, something
Better then myself
I can accept that fact
What I refuse to accept is that it makes me
Any less of a person
Today I have realized that opportunities are not
Once in a lifetime
Often the same opportunity comes full circle
Back towards you again
Life allows you to learn and if you wait long enough
Evolves into someone you like and love
Today is one of those days
I may not be the best
But I aint half bad
