I'M Man's Best Friend Poem by Mimie Durand

I'M Man's Best Friend

I’m thinking of you right now
I doubt you even care,
you’ve chosen to abandon me
I’m not cruel—its just not fair.

Sitting on the cold cement
bars surround my world,
if no one comes to rescue me
my life is over-unfurled.

Cruelty is a sin born from evil
how could you treat me so badly,
pets are suppose to be mans best friend
abused, I still pine for you-sadly.
