I Love You Poem by Diana jaafreh

I Love You

If love is a wonderful feeling to see someone we long for,
Then I don’t want to be loved,
Feeling is an emotion which will change eventually.

If love is the comfort of being together with someone,
Then I don’t want to be loved,
Separation will come to us once in a while.

If love is a desire to be desired by someone we desire,
Then I don’t want to be loved,
it will fade no matter how irresistible the desire is.

If love is the eager to see someone’s face and taste his beauty,
Then I don’t want to be loved,
Physical attraction is the weakest reason among them all

Don’t love me for reasons,
Love me for the sake of love itself
For it will last forever, no more no less.

Because I don’t want you to turn,
from someone I know into someone I knew.
