My dear friend, take my hand walk with me a way
Know that I will never leave, I will always stay
Nothing you can say will cost our friendship dear
I will always stand by you, of that you cannot fear.

Know that I will stand by you, I will not desert
I will help you bear your pain, I'll try to ease your hurt
You need not think that I will fail, Ill not be like the rest
You have been a friend to me, we passed that friendship test.

I judge not your actions, I pass no judgment here
Know that I will stay by you, I'll always be real near
When troubles are upon you and darkness comes your way
Know that I will light your path until the break of day.
