I Liked The Day I Met You



I liked the day I met you.
Your charm swept me away
But your inner self
Was something else.

I meant to see the beauty in you
But there arose a darkness.
You were half happiness.
You were the other half sadness.

I liked the day I met you
But now looking back
I treated you with caution
Though I tried to be with you.
