I Lie Alone At Night



Where is the one I love,
My long ago soul mate,
Whom I've been deprived of,
And what's to be my fate?

Shall I as Sappho be,
To lie awake at night,
The moon shining on me,
Alone, is this my plight?

My love, where are you now?
I often think of you,
Your fair hair, your sweet brow,
Your smiling eyes, so blue.

Where are you now my love?
Do you too think of me?
You're the one I think of
And wish that we could be...
