I Have A Vague Apparition Poem by Naveed Akram

I Have A Vague Apparition

A vague apparition surprises me beyond the countless stars
As I stretch my limbs against all calamity and all majesty.
I am the refuser, the vague artist who condemns the wights
Roaming the barrows of the plight, of the destroyed world.
My energy is unique, a dwelling house for the offered,
I must accost the fair maidens of the city that dwells for itself.
I need an article of cloth and speech, both are bothering me,
As the axe grinds the flesh of a fair paladin that strides forth.

The tower or fortress is a loaf of bread, consumed by the mouth,
Abiding in the dark and light, but never conquered in one gulp.
The beautiful and fair beckon me to forsake their heads, their hearts,
As the wisdom of a golden brown boy is aloof, among the heads of men.
To pick the pen and write a beam of light is the magical task
Engineered by the warlock who knows, who is according to darkness.
I have frowned on his worries, and I have murdered nobody of his,
And I have worshipped no god but mine, so long as the oceans mingle.
