I Hate The World. Poem by Jessica Jemima

I Hate The World.

Rating: 3.0

I'm sitting here, wishing I was anywhere but here
One thought rings in my head, I hear it loud and clear

I hate the world I hate everything in it
I wish I was never born
If I have to stay here one more minute...
To die or to live - I'm torn.

But as I'm wallowing in this hate
Of everything that's my life
I realise that what I've got is a lot
Even if my mind is in strife

And if I hadn't a head, I'd be dead
If I hadn't a heart, I'd fall apart
If I hadn't a mind, I'd be blind
To all these things I possess

The pain does remain,
The strife is part of life
I will cry till the day I die.

But I DO know what life is all about,
That's one thing I will always hold tight
This one thing I know I will NEVER doubt
That's Jesus - he is my life.

'Stop the world I want to get off' :) So often I have felt that way, but with faith we get through another day - This was such a pleasure to read. I really get it :) Thanx so much for your comment. Keep on keeping on, T

Thank God for that epiphany. There is a great deal to be thankful for in life.Everyday is a gift and every breath is a blessing.Hang in there. And when you are sad or desperate give yourself a big hug and say 'I love me'-your angel will be with you guiding and you will never walk alone...just like the psalm in the Old Testament says: I give my angels to protect you lest....
