I Got Out Poem by Shalom Freedman

I Got Out

Rating: 5.0

I got out
I took the ten-minute permitted walk
I do not believe how happy I was
Just to walk and move
I was so overwhelmed by the sunlight
By the colors of the trees
I could not believe
How beautiful the world can be
How grateful just to see
Oh God help us now
In our hour of need
To have our ordinary lives again.
