I Found The Music Poem by Vladimir Ashkov

I Found The Music

I desired to write a song, but there was hardly any line to lay,
I gazed at you and found a word with thousand meanings to play.

A rhythm I wished to create, yet there’s no pulse to place,
I saw you looking back, then a beat has filled the space.

I wanted to catch the tempo but no notes to hit right,
When you walked in I heard a tune and the hymn became alright.

I wished to carve the lyrics, yet there were no sheets of wood found,
You blew a smile, and verses began to engrave on the ground.

There were rhymes that sprung over the details of every pitch,
But the flawless note of the chorus was beyond my reach.

It was an offbeat melodic piece struggling to sound fine,
With a broken harmony that shatters every line.

Before you, starting a refrain was close to impossibility,
But when you appeared, a seamless poetry has grown in beauty.

Before it was an empty chunk of a musical draft,
But now a perfect song patterned by craft.

I found the Music… You.

-Amen-
