A Note For Life Poem by Vladimir Ashkov

A Note For Life

Rating: 5.0

Another sunshine
Another day,
Another storm to flood my way.
I couldn’t stop the rain from pouring
Don’t even know where I am going.
I am a helpless man who’s scared of fate
Holding back and keeping faith.
Tomorrow might be a sunny day,
But surely ahead there’s a rain to stay.

Is misery a life’s shadow?
Or simply my other half?
Why would people cry, after they laugh?
As I take a step and blow my fears
I am counting smiles then gather tears.
I may find happiness in a moment
But then again I gain torment.
With every smile I show them all
There’s a teardropp waiting to fall.

There is no other way
Away from it all,
So what could be my next call?
Will I see the sun first before it rains?
Or a week-long joy after the pains?

Let all those roadblocks come my way…
To life here’s what I can say,
Bring me rain, bring me storm,
Bring me laughs, bring me mourn.
None of these can kill me today,
Bring them all so come what may!

An excellent poem and one which ends with a positive note- I like poets who see life in a positive manner inspite of all its miseries.
