I Dream Poem by robyn selters

I Dream

I dream that I am well
And safe
Be I sad
Or mad
I’m loved for being me

I dream that all the
Things I see
Don’t stir so much
That I’m no more
So I can’t find the key

I dream of meadows
Sweet and free
I’m there in spirit now
So from this life
So full of strife
I may not have to flee

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Hi Robyn - Honoured to be the first to comment on this lovely ode. Dreams are a wonderful form of escape and we all want to be 'Loved for being me' However often in our dreams there is confusion and 'We cannot find the key'. I love the ESCAPISM in the final verse and the idea that the soothing of our dreams helps us to survive in real life. Thanks for sharing - Love through Poetry - JOHN
