I Don't Believe In Closure Poem by Ray Hansell

I Don't Believe In Closure

Rating: 5.0

There's nothing more devastating
Then when a loved one passes on
Your mind starts running wild
You can't believe they're gone

Your heart is in such pain
It hasn't felt in years
They'll be a peroid of time
When you find, you can't stop the tears

You'll sit back and reflect
When life was young and full of fun
Memories from your childhood days
All the wonderful things you two had done

She was the older sibling
Your big sister as they say
Now as you slowly recall
All those magical summer days

I often hear people talk of closure
But in death that is not true
How do you have closure
For someone who lives in the heart of you

To me closure is like closing a door
Forgetting whats on the other side
I don't believe in closure
Because, your love for her will never die

Cheers to such an inspiring poem. Closure is acceptance, and if you can allow yourself to accept things as they are you will find peace.
