I Am Too Lonely Now Poem by Shalom Freedman

I Am Too Lonely Now

I am too lonely now
I have what I want now
I have time now
But I am lonely now
I feel as if all I can do
Is like everything else already done
I feel in a deep way it does not matter
Whether I write these lines
Or any other lines or words or thoughts or even books
Into the nothing of the more nothing goes even more nothing
And even a good line an interesting line a memorable perhaps
Cannot take away the wish
To somehow have to something to do today
To be with and help someone else
And to feel I am a human being again.

Dont be sad. You have me i have you. Poets joined by our desire to write. An excellent poem left a small lump in my throat
