I Am The New Moon Poem by Megan Levinson

I Am The New Moon

I am different. I feel lonesome in this universe. Everywhere I look there is no one like me. I was just made, as if no one cared to draw me out and give me extraordinary details and beauty like the rest of the planets and stars. I am here for no reason. I am useless. Im dark. No soul. No heart. Im the new moon I feel unseen-untouchable unbeauty like. I am invisible no one cares for me. If I died nothing would happen. No one would notice except me. But no I am trapped in this body-figure for eternity without deciding who I really am I don’t know if I should be the first or the last. Bright as the clear blue sky or dark as if hell ran over everything destroying the path it takes. Im dieing without the air surely but slowly. Only 29,200 days left until I feel free like an ocean breeze. Mean while I lay alone watching people look past me as if I was to be unseen for I am invisible to the whole world and in this universe. I am the new moon.
