I Am Sitting By The Sea
I am sitting by the sea,
writing poetry.
Every breaking wave…
Swollen with emotion;
Saline breeze,
Of forgotten saline tears…
And yet, you manifest
Through all my senses…
The ancient rocks, and the active waters:
Between past and future…
—What future?
Present is all.—When you are present!
A glimpse of delight,
Resting my eyes upon your visage is!
My heart sails—sails
The scarlet fluidity of our love!
Wings grow straight from my heart,
When the sea-gulls take flight!
Yet, I restrain to soar…
Where to? —Those imaginary places?
—The history is tired with dreaming!
And as I think, —a sudden impulse—
To drag the history
Into a brilliant future—forever!
—To shut the world,
For just the two of us!
The past is gone and the future beckons but the present is a present and when in this present a person dear to the heart presents himself before our eyes, the present as you rightly states in your poem soars shutting the world out. A magnificent poem.
When you sit by the sea to write poetry emotions flow like waves with saline breezes. Your heart sails on the scarlet fluidity of your love! Fantastic expression. I quote...
