I Am (Not) Poem by Christina Shischell

I Am (Not)

Rating: 3.0

I am not
short, skinny, pretty, pumped with silicon, or bleached. My hair is not teased, my clothes are not tight, I am not photogenic, my life is not so perfectly chaotic like it was written for a movie, I don't listen to trendy underground techno music, I write in correct english, I recite Allen Ginsberg poetry aloud to myself when I walk. Peace is a way of life not a trendy shirt, I can't fake smile, I am not airbrushed, I cant write in that foreign language lacking vowels multiplying letters and so on, I can't sum my self up so attractively, the scars on my arms are different than yours. I've seen more than you've seen, I'll never say the right things, I'll never be that perfect girl, I'm just me, broken, imperfect, strange..that's all I can give to you, so go and get her..
