I Am In Me Poem by Rajendra padhi

I Am In Me

I AM IN ME....

I brisk to the street sullenly silent
Words are bloodless and stagnant,
The sun leans out of window of sky
But I am vacant today in bulging look.
I am motionless between my words
It scares me away smoky and empty,
As if I am pieces of ice in my freeze
Unused and hang into more cold.

I turn grey quietly without care
Like the worn out engine in factory,
Hanging as withered out garland
I keep silent for fragrance and light,
A tamed tiger in circus impatient
Drowsy, unwilling, emitting sighs,
Lonely amidst the beaming faces
Like pale moon in a crowd of stars.

A shadow of a leaf on frozen lake
Laying still though the breeze blows,
Nestle my face like a bird to silence
Finding the field empty of trees,
Like an empty hall uncared I lye
In solitude I shelter the mute wind.

The thoughts like horses chained
Can’t fly from town to the hills,
Envy the birds thronging away
And fish swim gladly on waves,
An indolence buffeting solitude
I arch down like a bough in silence
Rest Like a tired camel in sand,
Sighs devour not my spirit to speak
I grow strong when I am in me.
