I Am Gone Poem by C. Albert Andrews

I Am Gone

I AM GONE

Forget about me
Just as I want to forget you.
The harder I try, the harder it gets.
Hope it’s not the same with you.
Rather I hope it is,
Just as it tortures me
I hope it does you.

So creepy, yes gravely creepy
When you touching me.
As I sleep, your selfish deeds awake me
Even as I think of it
My blood boils
There is no love!
Pain of the past haunts me.
Sorrow engulfs me.

I am so numb.
Don’t know how to laugh
And can’t even cry
I am not bitter
Not pleased either.

I am leaving
And you would not stop me!
