I Am El Salvador Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

I Am El Salvador

I am El Salvador

What I said is my name,
Don’t you know, go Google.
I am called the saviour; like Jesus.

You cause war, throw bombs
You call names and build walls
You plant the terror in each house.

Broken lives, pride
They escape day and night.

I saved them
Drowned them.
Blue sea their grave.

Like sending the sick ones
To coma, end of life
Named “mercy
Euthanasia”

I took them into ship
Helped them die; if not reached.

From shame
I saved them
No more pain.

Fear, doubt, suspicion
Are no more
I, the El Salvador
Saved them all
Of mercy I killed them.

Living, live
Will one day
Take revenge.

From you and, not I
Your plans and, the lies…
