I Am A Poet
I am a poet damnit
not a novelist
not a rock star
not a business man
I'm a poet
good with words
bad at life
I'm not starving
Cause I have a wife
without her
where would I be?
lying in a ditch
drunk and free
but who wants freedom
when love is dead?
I'd rather be bound to her
so I couldn't move.
every moment controlled.
She is a star
in this dingy world.
